Jazz is to break stereotypes about Lviv

June,12-15 more than 100 musicians from different countries of the world, Brazil, India, USA, France, Georgia, Austria, Poland, the UK, Germany, Ukraine and Russia will perform at 'Alfa Jazz Fest' in Lviv (the Market Square, the courtyard of the Palace of Potocki and the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi park).

The organizers  say that the event is an opportunity to come to Lviv and expereince its hospitality, friendly atmosphere and expression freedom.

The organizing committte has received an approval from the following jazz men: Larry Carlton (American jazz, fusion, popular and rock guitarist, singer and former member of the group Fourplay, winner of four 'Grammy' awards), Dee Dee Bridgewater (American jazz singer, one of the best jazz singers of the twentieth century), Elian Eliash (Brazilian jazz singer, pianist, arranger and composer), Charles Lloyd (famous American jazz musician, tenor and alto saxophonist, flautist), Robert Hlasper (American jazz pianist and producer, 'Grammy' winner in the nomination 'Best R&B album' for drive Black Radio (2012), Trilok Band (Indian percussionist and composer whose work is a synthesis of traditional Indian music with jazz fusion and world music), BoomBox (famous Ukrainian group). The full list of artists organizers will announce soon.

The festival also includes a solemn ceremony of the annual Eddie Rosner International Music Prize, one of the important jazz music awards.
