At 'Power of Unity' conference, held on June 23-24, 2014 in Chernihiv at the initiative of ALAHAR non-governmental organization, Yuriy Antoshchuk, the head of a Kherson charity foundation, showed how to control budget expenses of local government with Google+ instruments.

'The Project 'Map of Kherson districts' was initiated in autumn 2013 by Kherson local deputy and head of Kherson Municipal Enterprise of Water Supply public utility Ihor Kozakov. The project was supported by our foundation. The project aims to establish favorable relations between government and Kherson community and regularly inform city community about budget expenses on municipal communal service', Yuriy comments.

The map was created on Google Maps Engine public data program platform. By the way, Yuriy's foundation is the first Ukrainian non-government organization to join Google Maps Engine public data program.

According to Yuriy every community activist can use this Google+ instrument to create its own map. The biggest challenge in the process is to collect information on problem for its further visualization on map.
