May 16-17, people of Ukraine and other countries celebrate Ukrainian vyshyvanka Day. Organizers call Ukrainians to dress vyshyvanka and take yellow and blue balloons, ribbons and flags.

These days locals of Chernivtsi plan to set up a new record by creating a living emblem of Ukraine (in 2012 the city broke the Guinness record by gathering 4189 vyshyvanka-dressed people in one place).

The spring vyshyvanka marches are organized in London, Toronto, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Rivne, Lutsk, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Talne, Zolotonosha, Shepetivka and other cities.
