Ukrainian national phone operator presented an exclusive application

Kyivstar national telecom operator presented mobile application project to encourage Ukrainians to learn more about history of Ukraine's lands in XVI-XVIII centuries.

Vkraina online multimedia presentation is based on Andriy Osadchuk’s private collection containing European maps of 16-18th centuries. The specimens have been collected for more than 5 years; most of them were brought back to Ukraine from Europe and US.

Kyivstar company was given an exclusive permission to digitalize a part of Osadchuk's collection to present territory of modern Ukraine. Thus, 34 chronologically ordered maps, commented by the collector himself, give a glimpse on cartographic history of Ukrainian lands in 16th-18th centuries. Each map carries a unique distinctive image of Ukrainian land as seen by the Europeans of that time with all of the names and boundaries caught in their diversity.

Android and iPhone same applications will be also available in the nearest future.
