UKRAINIAN MOVIES GOT TWO AWARDS AT MINSK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

'The Living Fire' by Ostap Kostyuk and 'The Event' by Serhiy Loznitsa won two awards at 22th International Minsk Film Festival 'Listapad 'held in the capital of Belarus on November 6-13, 2015.

'The Living Fire' was given 'The Diploma for believing in preservation of authentic national culture in the process of globalization' and 'The Event' received 'Special jury’s prize for high artistic statement of events of August 1991 and new interpretation of the archives filmed by Leningrad cinematographers'.

It is worth mentioning that this year the International jury of cinematography press was headed by Ukrainian Serhiy Trymbach (the Head of the Ukrainian Union of Cinematographers).

'Brothers' by Polish director Wojciech Staroń bested at 'Documentary Competition', and 'The Lesson' by Petar Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva form Bulgaria was the best in 'Main Feature Film Competition'.
