Ukrainian mathematician wins a prize of the Indian university

Ukrainian mathematician wins a prize of the Indian university

Maryna Viazovska, a mathematician from Kyiv, who is working at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, was awarded the 2017 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize.

The SASTRA Ramanujan Prize was established in 2005 and is annually given to young mathematicians for outstanding contributions into the areas influenced by the Indian genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.

The prize will be awarded during December 21-22, 2017 at the International Conference on Number Theory at SASTRA University in Kumbakonam. The prize sum is $10,000.
