UKRAINE PARTICIPATES IN UNESCO SESSION

Ukraine participates in 38th session of the World Heritage Committee UNESCO being held in Qatar until June 25, 2014.

The meeting agenda includes updating the World Heritage List with new objects from 42 countries, listening to reports on state of conservation of the World Heritage properties including two Ukrainian objects St. Sofia Cathedral and adjoin monasteries and Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, approving retrospective statement of outstanding universal value including Struve Geodetic Arc located on the territory of Ukraine and other 9 countries.

The Committee session is participated by representatives of 21 countries, hundreds of observers of member states of 1972 Convention on cultural and natural heritage conservation, scientists and experts.
