Odesa to introduce the culture of 133 nations


May 22-24, 2014 Odesa hosts tourist festival and ethnic festival 'Crown of the Danube'. The events will be organized in the framework of the XII International Assembly of Tourist Business.

This year the tourist festival intends to introduce such directions as recreation, business, sports, cognitive and event tourism, wine and gastronomic tours, pilgrimage and a beach rest.

The business program of the event includes conference on opening the project 'Sustainable tourism development in the region of the Danube - Ukraine, Moldova, Romania', round table 'The cruise business in Ukraine', scientific conference on tourism development in the CIS, 'Hotel and restaurant management' conference, workshops from hoteliers, training for senior hotel managers, a regional meeting of the Kyiv International tourism Forum (KIFT), a promotional tour around Odesa region. The festival will be accompanied with national cultures holiday, tasting of the regional cuisine, performances of national bands etc.

Ethnic festival 'Crown of the Danube' is a colorful folk art fair to represents tradition, culture, crafts of various nations, goods of craftsmen and artists from all over Ukraine. The visitors can see works of folk art made of beads, clay, textiles, bronze, twigs, roots, straw, dough and other materials; ornaments, toys, charms; and visit workshops on pottery, forging, painting, weaving, carving, embroidery, beading, Ukrainian doll making as well.

Ethnic festival 'Crown of the Danube' introduces cultural traditions of more than 133 nationalities living in the Odesa region.
