MOVIE ABOUT CHERNOBYL PRAISED AT AMERICAN FESTIVAL
The documentary about Chernobyl catastrophe 'The Russian Woodpecker' directed by Chad Gracia topped at American Independent Film Festival Sundance.
It took one year and half to shoot the movie. The work is co-production of the USA, UK and Ukraine. This is the first so highly recognized work for Marina Orekhova, film producer, 'We had 5 screenings during the festival, and at the end of each one all audience got up and applauded. Souvenir blue and yellow ribbon pins were extremely popular among the audience'.
After Sundance festival 'The Russian Woodpecker' will be presented at some other American film festivals. Then it will tour around Europe and Ukraine.
