Mariupol student wins Intel ISEF-2019 in the USA


Olga Kharasakhal, an 11-grade student the Mariupol Technical Lyceum, won the International competition 2019 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in the USA.

Olha presented the project 'Vacuum filtration with DOPA-typing as a new method of diagnosing circulating tumor cells of all subtypes of melanoma'. While working on the project the girl volunteered in a city oncology dispensary for four years.

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair is the world-wide science and engineering achievements competition for student annually held in the United States for teens from 13 to 18 years of age. The purpose of the competition is to identify and support talented young scientists, to promote the development of research in applied and fundamental sciences, as well as technical creativity. This year's fair brought together more than 1,800 students from 70 countries.
