Locals of New-York will see Kyiv public protests via the film
The annual festival Kinofest NYC, held on May,9-11 in New York, will show Ukrainian project called 'Babylon'13', newsreel events of public protests in Kiev.
The film will be presented by Volodymyr Tykhyi, director and producer of the project, and Yuri Hruzynov, the operator kidnapped on the Crimean peninsula during the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
The fest is organized by the Ukrainian Museum in New York and supported by Donetsk platform for cultural initiatives, Isolation.
Kinofest NYC is the festival to promote independent Ukrainian cinema and film of post-Soviet countries. The event might help locals of New-York to understand realities of East European countries through cinema.
