Kyiv first in its history is hosting the European Girl's Mathematical Olympiad
For the first time in its history Kyiv is hosting the European Girl's Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO). The event is being held fom 7 to 13 April.
As the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine inform, 50 teams from different countries of the world, including the USA, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India, etc. will compete. In total, more than 200 girls aged 13 to 20 years are taking part. This year, Ukraine is represented by two teams.
The participants will solve mathematical problems in algebra, combinatorics, geometry and number theory.
