Odesa's tourist symbol is unveiled in Cyprus
The tourist symbol of Odesa, heart shaped anchor, was installed on Finikudes Beach in the Cypriot city of Larnaca. The sculpture for the sister city was established with the purpose of promoting a positive international image and presentation of the potential of Odessa, as well as strengthening of bilateral relations in the field of culture and tourism.The anchor of Odesa in Cyprus has become the first art object of the city's tourist symbols installed outside of Ukraine
Ukraine and UAE to expand cooperation in education
Ukraine and UAE will start preparing a new memorandum on cooperation in the educational sphere.During the meeting, the ministers of the two countries agreed on the following:* joint development of electronic teaching materials;* creating a joint mobility program for students and organizing summer camps for schoolchildren;* beginning of the procedure for recognizing the diplomas of Ukrainian universities - the domestic Ministry of Education and Science should provide information on the country's TOP-40 universities;* development of cooperation
Ukraine and Uruguay sign a visa-free regime agreement
Ukraine and Uruguay signed an agreement on a visa-free regime.The provisions of this document stipulate that citizens of Ukraine will be able to stay on the territory of Uruguay for a period not exceeding 90 days and renewable for another period of 90 days. Citizens of Uruguay will be able to stay in Ukraine for a period not exceeding 90 days for 180 days
The Irish to build a solar power plant in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Irish company Altostrata plans to build a solar power plant with a capacity of 250 MW.It will be built near the village of Levadky, Pavlohrad district, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Its cost is 255 million euro.The object will be put into operation in two years. It is expected that the future plant will provide electricity to more than 40,000 houses and enterprises. Altostrata company specializes in renewable energy sources and works in America and Europe
Kyiv-Toronto flight to launch in 2018
In the summer of 2018 it is planned to launch a direct flight between Kyiv and Toronto, the largest city of Canada. The flights will be operated by the company 'International Airlines of Ukraine'. The new regular flight is expected to give additional opportunities for business development, especially in the context the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada entered into force on August 1, 2017
Consulate of Ukraine opens in Mozambique
The Honorary Consulate of Ukraine officially opened in the capital of the Republic of Mozambique, the city of Poputa.
