Berlinale festival to show a film about MARIUPOL

The world premiere of the documentary 'Mariupolis' is going to take place at the Berlin International Film Festival planned for February 11-21, 2016.

Mantas Kvedaravicius, 'Mariupolis' director, shot the film last spring and autumn in Mariupol and villages of Shyrokyne and Sartana, Donetsk Oblast.

'It's a visually powerful homage to the city in times of crisis, it is dedicated to the poets and shoemakers', the film fest press office comments.

The film tells about people and circumstances, the value of each moment, and people whose everyday life is defined by bomb threats.

The film 'Mariupolis' is a co-production of Lithuania, Germany, France and Ukraine.
