Artist from Uzhhorod enters TOP-4 European best portraitist


33-year-old Petro Svaliavchyk from Uzhhorod entered TOP-4 best portrait painters of Europe.

At the 4th International plein air painting in large format contest (held under the auspices of UNESCO on June,17-19 in Fourges, France), the artist received one of UNESCO three awards and money reward from Credit Agricole Group bank.

During the contest its participants had to paint a portrait (100 cm x 80 cm) of one of the ten models proposed. Using the right to paint a portrait of his own model, Petro painted a portrait of his wife, Mariana, and managed to paint a portrait of a French woman and two great pictures in still life art (out of competition).

The competition brought together over 100 best portrait painters from Europe and the world, both professionals and amateurs, aged from 25 to 65 years.
