ANALOGUE OF HARVARD KENNEDY SCHOOL TO WORK IN UKRAINE

Public Management School will be opened at Ukrainian Catholic University. The School will prepare high skilled managers for central and local government authorities.

The School target is both to improve professional knowledge and skills of the current active government officials and duly prepare future specialists.

'The School task is to foster government officials with such values as devotion to people, justice security and civil rights and liberty protection, which will help to transform Ukraine into social, legal and democratic state and integrate into European society', the School initiators mention.

The School will be headed by Pavlo Sheremeta , the head of Lviv Business School, former Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

The School will work in three directions. In 2015 a 1,5-year Master of public administration (MPA) program will be launched. Short and long term programs for government authorities will be also available. It is planned to establish research and analytical centre as well.

The School was created on the model of the best world schools such as Harvard Kennedy School, Fels Institute of Government and Yale University after being adapted to Ukrainian context.
