21/10/2016

The third line of the modern solar station was opened in Dnipropetrovsk oblast (Pidhorodne). It’s equipped with a unique for Europe tracking system. Instead of common stationary boards with solar panels it has movable modules following the sun. The third line of the station consists of 7,000 modules (overall, 10,400 modules are operating at the station).

Each hour the station generates more than 2.5 kW, during a year it can supply energy to 27,000 houses. These movable panels allow producing 50% energy more than usual stationary panels, saving about half a million tons of coal per year, and avoiding greenhouse gases.

'Solar Park Pidhorne' solar station is funded by Ukrainian investors. The cost of the third line is about Hr 20 million.
