2016 IS THE YEAR OF MANITOBA'S UKRAINIAN CANADIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE
The Canadian province of Manitoba proclaimed 2016 as the Year of Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Heritage. It was declared by the province Prime Minister Greg Selinger.
'Considering a significant contribution of Ukrainians into the development of Canada and Manitoba, and a large Ukrainian community living in the province, Manitoba proclaims 2016 as the Year of Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Heritage', the head of province government said.
The ceremony of proclamation was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andrii Shevchenko.
